HYSTA was established in 1999 by a group of Chinese entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. From humble beginning as foreign students with almost no assets or connections, they became prominent business leaders in the Silicon Valley. They created HYSTA with the hope to share their experiences and knowledge with young Chinese professionals entering the business world. HYSTA, in Chinese, means both Chinese origin and resources for the Chinese.

Today, HYSTA is the leading Chinese professional organization in the Silicon Valley. It has become a trusted network for both young talents, those who have accumulated years of wisdom and a platform to exchange knowledge between the two. HYSTA has also become a valuable partner for a wide range of businesses interested in China and in accessing the rich and vibrant Chinese business community in the Silicon Valley.

- The Global Services chapter opened its door to the global outsourcing industry

2008

- Membership surpassing 5000 Fourth US-China CEO summit

2007

- Third US – China IT CEO Summit in California

- Sixth Annual Conference. Former US Vice President Al Gore spoke to HYSTA members.

- Business Plan Competitions introduced during Entrepreneur Bootcamp for the first time.

2006

- Second US - China IT Executive Summit in Beijing Membership reaching 3000

2005

- First US - China IT Executive Summit in Silicon Valley

- Launch of HYSTA Emerging Leaders Forum (ELF), for aspiring entrepreneurs and managers.

- Launch of HYSTA Distinguished Speaker Series.

2004

- Expansion of Executive Club (HYEC), the exclusive de facto network for successful Chinese entrepreneurs and

executives in the Silicon Valley.

2003

- Launch of HYSTA Beijing Chapter.

2002

- First HYSTA annual conference, with 1500 attendees.

- Launch of HYSTA Venture Capital Chapter

2000

- Launch of HYSTA Executive Club.
